We at Discover Nootka have established The Nootka Island Water Trail in harmony with the support and service of the three local towns of Gold River, Tahsis, and Zeballos whom together form, what we like to call, the Nootka Island Tourism Triangle. The basis of an established water trail is to make accessible all levels of paddlers so they may enjoy the mystical Fjords of Nootka Sound and Esperanza Inlet.  Discover Nootka has also constructed a series of contiguous camps along the inside portion of Nootka Island to facilitate our guided trips of The Nootka Island Water Trail which are rumored as having Five Star accommodation in the wilderness.

To fully experience the vast expanse of wilderness and waterways that Nootka Island has to offer, many clients feel compelled to return to enjoy our hospitality and to continue their discovery. Should a client return and complete their passage from end to end connecting our camps, they have the honor of claiming the coveted Nootka Island Water Trail plaque commemorating their time spent on the waters surrounding Nootka Island.
